Best way to prepare for SAT

Hi i’m a Homeschooler from Australia. I am currently in 10th grade and i have decided that i will sitting the SAT as an alternative for our exam we have here (because it’s rubbish). I would like to do engineering which requires and SAT of around 1840 for our universities. However i would preferably like to get a score of 2100 because that would get me into any course i want as well a full scholarship. My question is how should i go about preparing for the SAT? I have purchased a few books that have practice test and tips. I will be sitting the exam early in 12th grade and then again if i’m not happy with my score.
In short i’m in 10th grade and want some tips on how i should prepare for the sat.
BTW our universities don’t care about GPA’s, interviews and subject test.
Thanks
