like the title says, i really need close to an 800 on lit so what is the best strategy for doing so
what books do you reccomend

First, you don’t really need close to an 800.

Second, you can’t really study for literature because being good at analyzing literature means having strong critical reading skills, and you can’t just read a book and expect to magically have strong critical reading skills. The ability to analyze texts closely and well takes years of steady, consistent reading habits.

So, here are some books/magazines/newspapers I recommend:
- How to Read and Why by Harold Bloom
- works by W.H. Auden
- The New York Times
- The New Yorker
- The Atlantic
- A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man

Keeping a daily habit of reading The New York Times and some good fiction will definitely get you on the way to getting an 800.
