My S applied to several RD common app schools at the same time as he applied EA to a couple of other common app schools. He just noticed that his common app “activities” section is missing Scholar’s Bowl and National Honor Society, and would like to send an update to the RD schools. He has also written up a resume since he sent those applications in November. (He was admitted by all the EA schools, but they were all safeties for him.)

Is the correct way of going about this update to contact the admissions office and ask for the email address of the person reading applications for his high school, and then send the new resume, along with a cover letter mentioning the accidental omission of those two activities from his common app to that person? I believe that that is what I have read for deferred EA applicants to do to update their application, and while he is not in that exact situation, it’s kind of a similar thing. Should he also mention that he was cast in a fairly major role in the drama club’s winter play?

Thanks!
