I realize that the wait for snail mail can be extremely agonizing, but the fat envelope is well worth it. Even those deferred early and accepted RD, or defered RD and accepted up off the Wait List, are having a wonderful time on Chestnut Hill. Once you matriculate, absolutely no one will care when your fat envelope arrived.

Undoubtedly y’all will have other great options as well, but give BC a hard look. It’s total package can be hard to beat.

Dear Readers : Many of our Boston College posters on College Confidential have been sharing insights, ideas, and answers with young readers hoping to make the grade. Let me offer one thought to you all in addition to bluebayou’s best wishes.

As you wait for your early application decision, make this one an important weekend and continue your regular decision application process! While the application adrenaline is still flowing, start collecting information for your regular decision schools and getting those applications completed.

Have all of your material lined up and ready to be submitted regardless of the result from Boston College. Now is the time to be executing on your full college application game plan. If you are accepted by Boston College, you will have lost no ground. However, if you are deferred or rejected, you will be further along with your college application process and will be better positioned to “move on” as opposed to languishing over the BC final decision.
