Yale’s bulldog/music combo has gotta be the best.

I agree with flyingpig: Wesleyan’s admit packet was great. My mom started crying at work when I called her (I’m first generation). The bumper sticker is awesome. My mom is putting it on the new car. The note at the bottom that said “Yes! Welcome to Wes!” was great. I felt so wanted! I’m basically on cloud nine right now :)

Yay Gabs!!
My mom cried too. And I’m not even first generation – my parents went to Princeton. Haha. I think it’s just a parent thing.

Lol lucky you. My college sent me a C4.

OMG! At this time next year, we’re gonna be Wesleyanites! So excited!!!

Baylor’s acceptance package was surprisingly very nice…although the phone call I got beforehand kind of spoiled it. I had been wondering for the longest why some of my friends had gotten acceptance letters already and one night I got a phone call from baylor. It was a senior female that currently attends baylor and she was like, “Hey, congratulations on your acceptance! Do you have any questions about student life?”. And I was like, “WAIT! Hold the phone! I got ACCEPTED??” and she said, “umm…yeah…you didn’t receive the letter in the mail yet?” and i told her “no…no i didn’t”. Needless to say, I got the package in the mail about a week or two later. It was very nice although the acceptance letter wasn’t very personalized:

"Dear Student:

On behalf on Interim President David Garland, it is my pleasure to offer you admission to Baylor University. My colleagues and I commend you on the academic accomplishments which have earned you admission to the fall 2009 incoming class.

(Then it went on to tell me my scholarship amount and how I need to pay a $300 deposit by May 1)

hmm…but it had a very nice certificate of admission within a forest green stationery-like cardstock folder thing and the transluscent tissue-paper that comes in graduation invitations although you can tell the signature was done on the computer lol.

Also you get a shirt (once you submit the $300 of course) that says “I know where I’m going”

So it was a bit of a bittersweet moment I guess. However, I’m still awaiting my acceptance letter from SMU though…it’s my top school with Baylor being my safety school :]

Penn’s acceptance package is just a printed out version of the online acceptance letter, a little card you should send back with your deposit, and an envelope without postage

Baylor will text you if you get accepted, if you give them your cell. My friend got a text before she ever got her letter haha.

Baylor U had a really nice “package” with awesome paper and a 45k scholarship
UT Austin’s acceptance letter… was out right non-worthy material. haha

yeah i didnt expect something so nice from baylor

UT’s acceptance letter looked more like a bill than anything else.

Kalamazoo’s acceptance letter is really nice, it’s such a personal letter, they quote your letters of rec and you can really tell they put a lot into it. Nice gold seal too lol.

I’ve heard that SMU acceptance packages come w/ ribbons and everything, but I got mine yesterday and there weren’t any decorations at all. It was all paperwork, i.e. acceptance/scholarship letters and a housing brochure.

Is it just because I’m international, and they fed-exed by stuff overseas, so they can’t add the whole shebang?

AGREED! i stopped after the word regret… sigh =[

in response to sean’s swat rejection… :'(

Rice’s acceptance letter and financial aid letter arrived in a really nice folder with the Rice seal embossed on the front. The letter itself is rather bland, though.

And then it went on to talk about enrollment deposits and maintaining my academic performance. Still, I was very excited. :)

whenever i re-read my tufts deferral letter, i get the image of a fat man in a suit with a cigar in hand telling me to find another college.
=[

Baylor called me like three times. -_-
Acceptance letter was very nice, though.

what if u opened a big envelope up and u thot u got in but in just said: “PSCYH! HA HA!”

No congratulations on the Rice letter?
I thought it was an unwritten code to include that into an admit letter.

can i just ask if anyone else finds it annoying when you get into your 2nd choice, and have yet to hear from your TOP choice, but keep getting safety schools acceptances in the mail?

it’s annoying cuz u don’t care about the safeties after u got into a good school, but ur still anxious to hear from your TOP

at least… this is my predicament
