USC packet was pretty cool, and I’m now using it as a folder for school. Cornell’s was similarly designed, with the folder and all that. Although the actual letter is a bit oddly worded like CCCiter said.

I loved Swarthmore’s acceptance packet.

I turned around the envelope, and written across the flap were the words:

“{This is the FAT one!}”

Basically, it was amazing.

Princeton’s acceptance folder was pretty cool. Alot of stuff in a small space. I may be a little biased though lol

The best acceptance package was from Maryland so far. They gave me a magnet, it was nice.

Upenn’s waitlist letter was blah…

"Sorry, you’re good, but not good enough. Oh, by the way, reply online to accept. Thanks for the money, sucka!

Love,
Eric Furda"

I kind of disliked MIT’s method of checking decisions, and the rejection didn’t help.

Rejected.

:-

I didn’t really read the rejections from Harvard/Princeton/Yale, so I can’t comment on those, but I thought that Penn’s acceptance letter/packet was really nice.

I loved Brown’s acceptance letter, it included specific information about my essay and community service they liked as well as the generic letter, which was Awesome.

Dartmouth’s acceptance packet also had a handwritten note by my admissions rep, which was awesome.

Cornell’s acceptance was kind of generic, but still sufficed.

LOL stetson sent me a DVD with their acceptance letter
I’m kind of terrified to look at, what could they possibly pu on there?!

personally, all rejection letters suck. they all just say “you’re not good enough, we don’t want you” in different words.

“i regret to inform you blah blah blah”

oh really? will it keep you up at night? doubt it. don’t say sorry, just fix it.

haha, i guess i’m kinda bitter.

carleton’s waitlist letter was lame. i don’t want a trite crystal ball analogy.
scripps’ acceptance was cute; the dean of admissions wrote a personalized note on my letter :)

Agree about Colgate - my child was very comforted by that fact - we are going there tonight for admitted student visit. Especially important since the Ivies were so cold in their letters.

OK, now that’s just evil.

I have to say, in terms of admissions packets, Harvard’s was definitely the best. Yale (where I’m going) had a pennant in it, which was nice, but it just wasn’t as classy as Harvard’s.

^Hey, what did Harvard send out?

Penn sent a nice little folder that reads “Welcome!” on the front. The interior of the folder has huge photos of the Penn campus with Philly in the background, Locust Walk, a crew boat on the Schuylkill River, etc. that I’ve seen in literally every Penn viewbook I’ve ever owned. All beautiful photos and all appropriate, but they seriously need to update, lol. The folder also has quotes from current Penn students; I searched on Facebook one of the names that is listed as a freshman and she is actually '09.

Oh well, we still love you UPenn. There was also a cute letter for ED students that started with, “Congratulations! Again!”

Worst: MIT

Best: Stanford (it made me feel good about myself) :)

I liked Middlebury’s acceptance. At the end they wrote ‘Heartiest congratulations’. That was really cute. Kenyon was my favorite though, because it was personalized. Heh, I always wanted a personalized acceptance.

Yeah, I agree with ab2013. Stanford’s wasn’t bad… all though, obviously, I wasn’t happy. ;)

The Harvard acceptance letter has a hand written personal message and signature from the dean of admissions!!

When Michigan accepted me as a transfer student, they didnt even send me an acceptance letter. it said “the student has accepted admission” online.
