<p>Ok, I was placed at BTMF. I looked for it on the website and I think it is Bethe/McFaddin (not sure). I read that it is a gothic building and everybody says they’re awful. Does anyone know about this one? Should I request another one?</p>

<p>how about you take a shot at being grateful that you’ll be on campus at one of the most elite universities in the world and will be surrounded by 13,000 smart, driven, and creative classmates.</p>
<p>The Gothics aren’t bad. On the exterior, they’re gorgeous and inside it’s not so bad. They’re old…but it’s part of their charm.</p>
<p>The only downside I see is the lack of a laundry facility in the dorm…but you’re not far from Bethe House proper.</p>
<p>Housing won’t even entertain your request for a room change until the semester begins and there’s a $50 fee. So, come with an open mind…I bet you’ll be surprised.</p>
<p>You wouldn’t imagine how happy I am, but if there are better dorms I should give it a try.</p>

<p>What is your housing assignment exactly. Bethe is a new building (opened spring 2007) but McFaddin is old. They are both part of the Bethe House system.</p>

<p>It looks like they took many of the house sites down, perhaps to update. They really need it.</p>
