Bethune Cookman University

Hey guys. I recently got accepted into Bethune cookman university and I wanted to know if this is a good university and should I make the decision to go here? Has anyone graduated from here or know anyone that has graduated from here that’s had a great college experience?

Hi There,

MY D and I toured it and were very impressed. Everyone we encountered dropped what they were doing to talk to us, gave my D their business cards, and answered all of our questions. The students were unfailingly polite and helpful. The merit aid is very good, and the school has a good reputation. The founder of D’s HS highly recommended it to her. Ultimately, she has enough other options that she probably won’t apply, but it was on her list for a long time. The weather sure is nice there too!

IMHO, Bethune Cookman University is not a good University. Your own academic profile shows that BCU basically accepts students with low academic achievement. Although you are trying your best to attend a 4-year institution, that might not be the best option for you at this time. Apparently you were rejected at FAU and a no-go at FAMU (low Math Sat Score). These are two of the least selective of the Florida 4-year Universities. Take advantage of the excellent low cost Florida State Colleges (CC) available close to your home. Your SAT scores suggest that you need some level of remedial work in all three areas of the test, specifically, math. Once you have completed your associate degree, you can move on to one of the 4-year universities (public or private). This is my personal opinion and I’m sure others might have a different take on your situation.
