Better chance for International students?

So…
since Vanderbilt has this new scholarship/grant/loan system, i heard that a lot more people are going to apply this year.

If I am a Canadian and is applying to Vanderbilt without any requests for scholarship/grant/loan, will this increase my chances of getting admitted as Early Decision?

TANK YOU VERY MUCHHHHHHHH

The New Vanderbilt is on a quest to become exactly like Duke and hopefully one day essentially just merge with Duke to create one big Super Duke to please “Bob”, a very academically gifted, but relative introvert from Connecticut.

Now, we have somewhere around 2% international students. I’d estimate that about 90% of them are Malaysian engineering students, whose government Vanderbilt has contracted with to send a bunch here each year at full tuition basically to have a statistic above 0%. Duke probably has anywhere from 4-8%. I remember reading an article last year mentioning a new “wonderful” campaign to reach 8% in x many years.

So, obviously your chances are good.

You’ll probably want to work on that grammar though, a lot of us are Southerners with old times views and don’t git much respectibilitylike in the academic world, but we did go to good schools.

90% of international students are MALAYSIAN ENGINEERING STUDENTS!!!

Does this mean that it is not competitive for international students to get in if Vanderbilt is just accepting a bunch of Malaysian students to simply raise the statistic above 0%?

Also, is there a class of 2012 profile of just international students?
