Better social experience choice - Delta Terrace vs. Late in Res Halls

Hey folks,

So I’m a transfer student and don’t know anyone at UCLA and I tend to be a sort of shy guy, but I like being social so I want to have a social living atmosphere. I tend to have a good time once I break out of my shell and the residence halls seem to be a good place to do that.

The thing is I’m already assigned a spot in Delta terrace so my only option is to switch during open transfer night to a residence hall, but by that time most people would have already formed a lot of their initial friendships in the halls.

So which is a better option for a shy guy wanting to break out of his shell:

 1. Stick with Delta Terrace
 2. Switch to the more social residence halls but after most of the residents have already made their friendships

Thanks

I wouldn’t recommend changing. You’ll be one of the only first year transfers in the halls which means the people you’d be making friends with would be freshmen. And on top of that, except for Dykstra (and Hedrick to an extent), the halls are actually mainly second years because they’re cheaper and were just remodeled.
