<p>A good person, a good soul. The whole nation could sense that and loved her. She was always lovely in the best sense and was courageous and very valuable in sharing the hard parts of her life.</p>
<p>Betty Ford was a classy and courageous lady, who brought many issues we now take for granted as part of the national conversation (depression, addiction, breast cancer awareness) front and center for the first time.</p>
