This show lived up to the hype. The comedians who host do such a good job compared to the 15 minutes of fame “movie stars,” “music legends,” etc. With many of the hosts I notice them obviously reading their cue cards during the sketches. Very distracting.

I thought that Ms. White was absolutely wonderful, with impeccable comedic timing.

Lorne Michaels has asked her 4 times to host SNL - once in the 70s, 80s, 90s and now. She turned them down each time. Too bad. She might have rivaled Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin in repeat performances.

While this in no way diminishes the fantastic job that Betty did, had she hosted it prior to the big Super Bowl commercial she was in this year, she might not have gotten the audience she did this weekend. That commercial gave her huge exposure.

Betty White was hysterical and lovable at the same time in the film…love how she breaks through the “acceptable” for women and for seniors…hope to be as courageous at her age

^^^ that was hilarious! I don’t know how she kept a straight face.

When she was doing her monologue at the beginning, every now and then I’d look at the faces of the band members; they were just cracking up. You know the energy level on that set was high that week.

This was one of the best snls in years. If you like BW check out the roasting of William Shatner on Comedy Central, the 3am version, where BW goes where no man has gone before…
