We are still waiting on Cal Arts, Boco and NYU. Does anyone know when Cal Arts will reveal? It seemed like they sent some acceptances out and then nothing for a while. One other thread said that there were some issues with tuition that was being cleared up. Anyone know? or about BoCo? We heard that NYU was on the 28th.
@BelleHankmom as far as Calarts their website says decisions released from March 1st thru beginning of April. Pretty vague. I haven’t heard anything else besides reading a few ppl on these threads have been called.
@BelleHankmom BoCo have started to roll out. My son got an email. His friend (MT) also got an email. Nothing yet on financial info
@BelleHankmom CalArts didn’t call D but sent an email. It was worded a little confusingly–we weren’t sure it wasn’t the usual admissions housekeeping type of email. Their accepted students day is the 13th. BAL
@BelleHankmom D emailed CalArts and they advised she should hear in the next week or so. Their notification period is March 1- early April but some students hear earlier and some later and there is no significance attached either way.
@lakadk I thought BoCo wasn’t announcing until the end of the week, but good to know they are rolling out now. Can we assume that if we don’t get an email today then it’s a no? Anyone have experience with what they did last year? Thanks!
So I just called BOCO admissions and they told me that Contemporary theater has not gone out yet but will by the end of the month, which is Sunday?? I also called CalArts and they said some had gone out but not all and the rest should go out this week or next. Both very very nice.

Still no word from Purchase, was hoping we would receiving something in today’s mail. Although apparently informed delivery only lets you know about letter size envelopes, not larger items, as the package from USC was a wonderful surprise last weekend. Anyone gotten any good news from Purchase yet? And if so, how did you receive it?
Its interesting that we are getting different messages from Boco. I have a feeling that the admissions folks and the theater folks may not be updating each other.

@gish814 congrats to your D! Has she gotten something in the mail yet too? And if so when did she receive it? All the acceptances I have seen here have been for females … must be the accepted males are not on college confidential.
I heard they notify the males last. That’s what I’m holding on to at least, bc I still have heard absolutely nothing from them.
I wish all schools would just post decisions on the portal and then everyone would know at the same time. The knowledge that calls are being made just causes kids and their parents to stress and obsess as they wait for the call that is statistically unlikely to come.
@FamLawTX Still no word from Purchase here, either. I called today and they insisted that phone calls are NOT made, per state regulations, because Purchase is a NY State school. I guess the departments don’t communicate to each other. In any case, we also have not heard anything.
I have heard some reports of mail rejections, so I guess we’ll just wait and see. Thanks for the update.
@stressedactor @FamLawTX My son got his rejection letter from Suny Purchase in the mail today. We’re in CA.
@theater7 sorry to hear about your S’s rejection. They must be staggering the mailing of decisions. I was told by admissions on Friday afternoon that my S’s decision was made and was mailed and should be received in 7-10 days.
Thanks @FamLawTX I hope your news is better! My son has some great options, so he wasn’t upset. I think he just wants to know the results from all of the schools so he can make a decision!
