If I were to get a BFA in film production and double major in computer science, if I wanted to go on to graduate school in the sciences and further specialize in computer science, would having a BFA degree rather than a Bsc hinder me from getting into a good graduate school? I know that in order to get into a top graduate school in the sciences I would have to do a lot of research/interships in my chosen field; if I did all that could I still get into a top graduate school for computer science?

Mia, are interested in using computers in film production? Of the top of my head, it seems to me that if you have successfully completed the prerequisites for admission at a high level and have high GRE scores, it won’t matter whether you have the BS or BFA. To make sure, call a couple of these top grad schools and speak to their admissions people and explain why you are thinking what you are thinking. Obviously, they can’t promise you anything, but you can get a feel for what they seek.
