<p>Does anyone know whether or not the G.P.A requirement to stay in BHP will remain at 3.5 even though the entire grading system of Texas is changing to +/-? It seems like it’ll be a lot harder to maintain 3.5 with this new system.</p>

<p>The grading system is changing beginning in the fall of 2009. Instead of an A being 4.0 and B 3.0 and so on, an A will be 4, A- 3.67, B+ 3.33, B 3.0, and B- 2.67 and so on. They thought about letting an A+ be 4.33 but that was shot down and will only be a 4 still.</p>
<p>are u kidding? is that just in business honors or everything?</p>
<p>Well I’m sure they told us it was only a 3.5 GPA for freshman year which can’t be that bad. (Knock on wood)</p>
<p>After that, it’s a 3.25 GPA overall.</p>

<p>Hopefully they’ll adjust it, but if not it makes the program that more rigorous, especially for entering freshman in 2009.</p>
<p>I believe the new grading system is for all majors. I’ll try to find the article on the Daily Texan about this.</p>

<p>Yeah it sucks pretty bad. Then again a 89 won’t hurt you as bad, but a 4.0 will be harder to get. If anyone gets any information on whether not the BHP requirement will change lets us hopeful future longhorns know please. Thanx!</p>
