<p>I have not seen this level of political enthusiasm & political literacy in young people since perhaps I was a child. They had specific reasons for supporting Obama, and yes, they were all black, but interestingly, their first choice had been Edwards, not Obama. They were clearly not interested in HC.</p>

<p>I mentioned on another thread I attended the Obama rally today in Seattle-over 20,000 and more were disappointed it couldn’t hold more.
Lots of young people
I ate lunch in the centerhouse next door and it was full of high school students who were discussing the rally and the “other” demo candidate-
Juniors even who wouldn’t be able to vote in the upcoming election.
This is what we need- to have more people interested in the process- to have HOPE, that we can make a difference, that AMERICA, is back! not a defeatist attitude that doesn’t want to rock the boat or change the status quo</p>

<p>Based on the info in youtube, it appears that the interviewer is just a free-lance guy with a video camera. He has a few other interviews, not too interesting. Looks like he just lucked out with Derrick. Or maybe it is all staged. Hard to tell.</p>

<p>This video is either staged, or the interviewer is just very unlucky: Derrick Ashong graduated with the highest honors from Harvard University. He’s an actor, singer, and “renowned” orator. </p>

<p>And he’s at least 32</p>

<p>But he could have been just unlucky- the way Derrick is chomping that gum, he doesn’t look like someone who could string more than a few words together ( like the other interviewees)</p>
