<p>How do most most people store their bicycles? My friends and I just realized that DPS will impound bikes that are remaining on campus over the summer.</p>
<p>I store it in a storage unit with all my other stuff. It’s a bit trickier if you fly home with all your stuff for the summer or use one of those shipping services like CollegeBoxes.com.</p>
<p>You could try finding a friend who is renting a unit, or someone who lives close by and can store it at home. If the bike is cheap enough, you could just sell or abandon it and buy another one in the fall.</p>
<p>(I can see it coming…for those of us who live within an hour, my garage full of bicycles during summer 2009…yikes)</p>
