How hard is it to get a job at the big4? I will get a my masters in accounting and be eligible to sit for the CPA exam… What kind of GPA do they look for? ( I currently have a 3.73) I am at an average state school BTW.

not hard at all
3.73 is well over whats needed
SJSU sends many with low 3’s

Big 4 firms primarily look to their intern pool when making full-time hires. They invest a TON of time and resources in recruiting those interns (and they really well). They typically hire one year in advance so you should start thinking about that. If your school has a strong accounting department, you should talk to an advisor for more guidance.

bumppppppppppppppp

didn’t your question get answered?

Lol.

3.73 is good enough. Big 4 firms look for students who are “well-rounded”, not just someone with a high GPA. Also, don’t depend on your resume to get you an interview…network with recruiters anytime you have the chance. Show them that you’re interested and make them remember you.

I’m not sure what other info you’re looking for…?

if they come to your school you’ll be alright

which one is harder; for an accounting major to get into big4 firms or for a computer science major to get into tech “big3” companies (google, apple, microsoft)?
