Big Name HS Debate Tournaments in EAST coast?

I’ve only attended George Mason’s patriot classic in the past, but I want to ask my coach if we could attend more next year. Any suggestions? I live in the DC area, so I won’t be able to travel too far.

I’ve heard of Harvard’s and WAFL (?) or whatever it’s called.

Also, does anybody know if GMU’s Summer Debate camp is worth the 100 bucks/week?

Are you talking about Lincoln-Douglas debate? Forensics?

Personally, I do Model UN and Model Congress…

If you check the National Forensics League website you will find lots of information about tournaments. Yale hosts a HS tournament in October, Columbia hosts one in January , Penn hosts another and so does Harvard (i think in Feb or March is huge). My son had several friends go to the George Mason Camp last summer and they loved it - two of them are going to the Nationals along with my son next week .

Like inuk said, try Yale, Harvard, Columbia, Penn, Little and Big Lexington, etc.
If you live in Massachusetts like us, a lot of the tourneys are close.
