Just heard that the northeast could get 2-3 feet of snow on Friday. Get out those snow blowers and snow shovels!

I just left Boston…I sort of wish I was there for it , but then I think back to three winters ago when we were pounded by a particularly harsh, snowy winter in south Jersey and I am glad that we are expecting rain instead

As a resident of New York, I say bring on the snow!! We had a mild winter last year and I’m ready for the blizzard! (It’s the northeast what do you expect)

Well hoping S won’t be flying thru it but have no idea of his schedule.

The timing looks bad for me! I’m a teacher and I think we will make it school on Friday before it starts. But may have trouble getting home! Lol.

I’ve been on hold with Jet Blue forever trying to switch my flight from Friday night to Florida out of White Plains to Sunday.

Emily, your area is supposed to be in the heavy snow band. I hope it doesn’t cause you too much difficulty.

Also wishing for snow here in NY (as long as HImom’s son is safely on the ground!) - it’s been so long since we’ve had much at all.

Well at least, when I get plowed this time, it will be a substantial amount not the 3 inch ones we’ve had before which I pay the same amount.

I am actually excited for the snow this time around. We are expecting about 2 feet!
Not sure if they will cancel school on Friday for the kiddos but my DD has 2 meets on Sat. One will most likely be postponed till Sun.

I love the snow! We got over 3 feet in a huge snowstorm 3 years ago. The snow plow even got stuck on our cul-de-sac and had to be towed out!

I’m so sick of winter. Hoping Michigan will be spared. You guys can have it! :p

I’m in 6"-12", but over by mid-morning Sat. My original plan was to drive down to my sister’s in Westchester tomorrow to avoid driving in snowstorm on Friday. But I switched my flight to Sunday mid-morning so will drive down late Saturday afternoon. By then the snow will have stopped and the thru-way should be fine. If worse comes to worse I can get up really early and drive down Sunday morning. Jet Blue allows you to extend your return by # of days so I got to switch my return to a day later. And since my son and his roommate are driving down from Maine for break on the 15th, I’ll be able to spend a day with them. I’m sure they’ll be thrilled. ;)

Ugh. Hate snow. NJ State YMCA Bronze swim meet is this weekend at 2 locations. This is S1s big meet for the season, as he ‘aged up’ this year and is back to the bottom of the time standard chart. At least the older kids don’t start until 4pm Saturday, so the roads should be clear by then.

Need to get gas for snow blower…

Well Emilybee, I’m glad you have a plan! Enjoy your family!

Never mind. Just looked it up. Supposed to be heaviest when I’m driving to and from work. Gah!

I just hope it starts early enough that they cancel things rather than making people drive home in bad weather.

Thx, Zooserman. The forecast is fab for the whole time, too. :)

My DH is supposed to be driving to Florida for a week with his guy friends leaving from Brooklyn on Saturday AM. My d’s had plans to go to a concert in Providence on Sunday night. I’ll be home with some good reading. Actually DH’s trip can be postponed a day and the d’s won’t go to Providence on Sunday if the storm is as bad as they are forecasting now.

I am very sick of weather. I feel like whining about it, but everyone hates a whiner, so . .
