Alright, I was filling in the supplements for IIT (Illinois Institute of Technology) and where I was supposed to write something like “IIT is the perfect place for me” i wrote “UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago) is the perfect place for me” and then submitted it. Only seconds after submitting it I realized what I had done.

So is it the biggest blunder I could have made? Does it mean instant rejection? :P

It does not mean instant rejection. I went to an info session at Princeton and the guy talked about how you should double check stuff like that because they get tons of essays saying “and that’s why I want to go to Harvard.” He also said it doesn’t mean instant rejection (in fact, some were still accepted) but that it puts off the reader a bit.
