Bing enters Forbes’ Top 25 Publics List; climbs 47 spots in USNWR Best Value!

I have seen Bing go from strength to strength in recent years. Kudos to Harvey Stenger, the outgoing president. I hope Anne D’Alleva continues Bing’s trajectory!

Another rank

I’ve always thought - back to when I was at Syracuse in the 80s - that Bing was strong. I guess I never thought about it in terms of “public schools”.

But that’s a great list of all well known names they are listed with.

It’s also interesting what they write - so perhaps their continued growth will be based on their affordability.

It will be interesting to see what # they rank publicly on US News: Stony is the top SUNY at 26 publicly but the top 25 is mostly similar to Forbes.

No matter what, Bing is a well respected school.

“Read about why smart kids and their cost-conscious parents flock to SUNY-Binghamton”

Binghamton has been increasing in popularity very noticeably over the last 5 years, particularly as they have been fairly aggressive with recruiting OOS students. It has appeared prominently in a number of recent ranking lists.
There’s this list from 2021: https://talk.collegeconfidential.com/t/bing-tops-list-of-public-ivies

And this one from last year: Binghamton Ranks #6 in P'ton Review Best Value

I will add this one to my original post: Bing went up 47 spots in Best Value as per USNWR.

Anecdotally, I feel like it is true Binghamton is getting more attention recently from OOS students in my circles, and it is well-deserved in my opinion.
