I watched The Empress as well. I found it OK, not great. Unsurprisingly, there is a lot of artistic license in play here.
I hope they do a second season, because from a historical perspective, the eras shown are the least interesting of her life.
As an FYI for others, it’s in German (with bits of Hungarian). Since I didn’t watch with English subtitles, I can’t vouch for their accuracy.
