Binghamton Early Action for Fall 2025 Admission

For those that were deferred, did you receive an email from admission last night stating they remain interested in your application and will be releasing decisions on a rolling basis and all applicants will be notified no later than April 1.

I did not receive this specific email, just one that my portal had been updated.

Yes. We received an email the day after it was posted in the portal.

I predict that Binghamton and other colleges with lower yield rates, will switch from Early Action (non-binding) to Early Decision (binding) over the next few years. UConn switched last Fall. It would reduce the number of Fall applications to the students that are serious about committing. I don’t have specific information to back this up. I just think it’s a logical step for colleges that are safeties for the T20s.

Good thought. Or maybe they’d have both EA and ED (like UVM, UVA, Tulane, Case) which would likely lead to more EA deferrals. Having ED will help them with yield even if they keep EA

Little late; I received mine in December

Most of my schools are RD so im waiting on those before I think about enrollment

yup!

The regular decision application period at B.U. ended yesterday. As a courtesy to other applicants, if you are deferred (or waitlisted) and have accepted an offer of admission from another university, please send a declination email to B.U. admissions stating you are no longer interested in being considered for admission. This will expedite the availability of open slots ahead of the May 1st enrollment deadline. Thank you.

Does anyone have any information about an Accepted Student Day? We are looking forward to planning a visit from OOS, but want to make it worth the long drive in snowy conditions!

Yes! I predict Umass-Amherst will have ED as an option when my younger son applies to colleges in several years

Any idea when honors/scholars comes out?

Have any deferred or RD decisions been released recently? April 1st is the RD deadline.

Yeah, I just got an update - deferred->rejected.

Sorry to hear that. I have heard of a few that were also Ed->RD->rejected as well. We are still waiting to hear. Good luck to you.

Thanks for your reply !

Has anyone even heard from university scholars / PWC scholars? CC tends to have high-stats people and it’s rolling, so I’m surprised there’s no word on it right now.

Anyone got any updates for RD/EA?
