SOM moved up to number 35 overall from number 48 last year in the rankings recently published in Business Week. [Top Undergraduate Business Programs 2010 - BusinessWeek](http://bwnt.businessweek.com/bschools/undergraduate/10rankings/?chan=magazine+channel_special+report)

What i also found interesting – Business Week also had pages with info about each of the top 100 schools – here is the link to Binghamton’s [Binghamton University: Undergraduate Profile ? BusinessWeek](<a href=“Businessweek - Bloomberg”>Businessweek - Bloomberg)

On the “getting in” tab it includes info not only on admission for the “institution” but for the school of management specifically –
for binghamton overall, it says they got 29,061 applications and accepted 33%.
for SOM, it says they got 5,746 applications and accepted 16%.
the mid 50% SAT range for SOM was 1260-1380
the yield for SOM was also higher than for the school overall.

at least for me, this was the first time i’d seen a breakdown of admission stats that separated out SOM – it certainly supports what the “common wisdom” was – SOM is harder to get in to.
