Binghamton University Class of 2029 Official RD Thread

This is the official discussion thread for Binghamton University Class of 2029 RD applicants. Ask your questions and connect with fellow applicants.

Considering Binghamton and probably going for a visit in the next couple of weeks. One big hesitation is that D25 is OOS and isn’t sure what that will be like where there are so many in-state students. 85% is what I’ve read. Can anyone give us a better perspective on that? Any other insider information about Bing, particularly regarding honors and biochem would be appreciated.

Two instate people in a FB group whose kids were deferred from EA to RD at Bing heard yesterday. My kid’s portal hasn’t changed, but check yours! Good luck to all!

Nothing yet here. My daughter was deferred as well.

Same. Hopefully this week!

any of you guys got your bing? I got mine today…

My S25 received an email at ~8PM EST yesterday about an update to his application. He logged on and had his decision this AM. Good luck everyone

anyone else??? are they doing it by grades?

This is a big week for decision releases.

This could be the case :sob: I was deferred January 6th and heard that my deferral turned into a rejection on March 11th but one of my friends with higher stats (like >5 points in 0-100 GPA higher than me) hasn’t heard yet.

are you able to tell me your last name or your friends? I think it goes by last name I got mine at 3/20th and the last name is LI

Yeah, my friend is O’B, I’m Ob
(I’m intentionally not writing out my last name or hers for privacy)

My daughter got her Bing decision today after being deferred from EA to RD. She was offered acceptance for Fall 2026. I was expecting flat out rejection, so I’ll call this a win! lol (in state, Harpur, last name S)

In-state applied EA and deferred to regular. Still waiting on Business school decision. We are “W” last name. My older child was accepted by late November 2022. To not hear a decision until late March is kinda ridic.

Son heard Tuesday, in state: rejected for fall, guaranteed transfer acceptance for '26, also on waitlist. Six years ago, older son was accepted for spring semester.
