I heard a lot of people saying it is a bad thing to major in bioengineering for undergraduate. So i was wondering if it is fine to get a degree in mechanical engineer with an emphasis in bioengineering or should i just stick with mechanical engineering?

Opinions of bioengineering have been exhausted on the forums. Look up bioengineering to get a better idea of what a bioengineering grad (and bioE emphasis Mech E) faces.

It’s still a mechanical engineering degree so it won’t likely hurt you in any way to focus on some kind of bio pathway with your electives. If anything, I’d say that would likely be beneficial for trying to get a job at those kinds of companies.

A mechE degree will offer you a wider range of possibilities.
