<p>D is interested in biochem/tropical medicine. looking at LAC to medium sized schools. Can anyone suggest schools with great programs with study abroad science s well.</p>
<p>Not exactly sure what “tropical medicine” means, especially at the undergraduate level, but Rice University is a very small university with a great bioengineering department and a nice study abroad program; plus it is one of the absolute best gateways to med school.</p>
<p>Tropical medicine wouldn’t be something you’d get at the undergrad level at all…If you wanted to be a physician, I’m not even sure where you’d get that type of training - maybe after an infectious disease fellowship (which would be after an internal medicine residency)?</p>
<p>Even if you were thinking something like medical anthropology, you’re still looking more towards grad school level stuff.</p>
