Bioengineering Fairfield or Binghamton

My daughter is planning on majoring in bioengineering and has it down to Fairfield or Binghamton. Can anybody shed any light in differences between the two?
Thanks so much

What is the difference in cost?

She got a good amount of aid from both so actually not much of a difference in cost. Really just interested in the difference between the 2 programs, thanks.

The biggest difference between Binghamton and Fairfield in bioengineering is heavily dictated by their size. The heart of Fairfield (4000 students) is its college of arts & sciences. The school of engineering was added about 25 years ago and graduates about 100 students annually. Of those only a handful (5) major in Bioengineering. This major at Fairfield is small and narrowly focused, and typically these students will be in classes with students who are majoring in something else.

Binghamton (18000+ students) has a much bigger College of Engineering graduating about 400+ students per year with almost 70 being in Bioengineering. Their size allows their program to be much more developed with 4 different tracks within Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering for majors to follow.

If you check each university’s website, you can see the extent and range of courses in the departments at each of the two schools.
