Upon college graduation, I would like to secure a position as a computational bioPlogist and/or bioinformatics specialist. What would be the suggested approach for pursuit of this goal?

A major in mathematics or computer science with a minor or second major in biology.

Having the math background is much more important than having the the biology. D2 worked in computational neuro research group, went to a couple of conferences. She said nearly every one came from a math background.

You may want to plan on a MS program since many job require a masters or PhD.
