<p>My point: If I recommend a book, somebody will say, “No, that book is awful!” When somebody recommends another book, I’ll say, “That book is terrible!”</p>
<p>I hope you see that it’s really useless to ask what the best book is. </p>

For US History: a textbook.</p>
<p>They have everything you’d need to know and more!</p>
<p>There’s also a thread for recommendations.</p>
<p>AMSCO is highly regarded as the best prep book for Us history ( even though it is an AP prep book).</p>
<p>I used Princeton Review and Cliffs AP books for biology. And, of course, the textbook.</p>
