Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, learn which one first is the better?

In high school, biology, chemistry, and physics. learn which one first is the better?

The typical order in which high school students learn those three subjects is

  1. Biology
  2. Chemistry
  3. Physics

In many high schools, physics requires more advanced math than the other two, so it is usually taken later when the student has reached a sufficient level in math.

^Yes, what the above two mentioned is correct. However, if a person has the math prerequisites, they can take chemistry and physics in any order, if the school allows.

I did physics, chemistry then biology. My kids did biology, chemistry, Environmental, then physics. Physics was my favorite

AP Environmental, Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry and then AP Biology is what I would recommend. if you have to stay at the high school.

If you can take Dual Enrollment after 11th grade:
Honors Biology/Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Organic Chemistry I/Organic Chemistry II, Organic Chemistry III/Biochemistry

If you can take Dual Enrollment after 10th grade:
Honors Biology/Honors Chemistry, Intro to Chemistry/Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II/Organic Chemistry III, Biochemistry/Another Chemistry class of your choice

I would recommend waiting until college to take Physics when you have taken Calculus.

^^^^^ !!!

It looks intimidating, but it really is not. If he/she does the work to get to that point, he/she will be as competitive as the rest of the class. AP Chem and Organic Chemistry I is the hard part because that is when your study skills are at their weakest. The more you do a subject, the easier it is to learn it. Higher level courses are actually easier.

Go with the standard college prep science sequence for your school. In some schools, biology is first, others do a physical science first. The teachers will adapt their expectations to 9th grade level when you take the recommended course first. Otherwise, you could be the freshman trying to keep up with the kids who already made the adjustment to high school.

I’d do what your school does first. In my school freshmen year was honors physics or cp. I took honors but it is dumbed down math wise to fit the math background of a freshmen (you had to be in at least geometry to be in honors physics). Honors chem at my school is not dumbed down and would be a struggle for a freshman. Point being, if this honors physics class had been given at my school junior year it would have been a much more difficult class. Go with the rest of your class.

I agree… do what your school does. The classes will be scheduled to fit in with the other classes for that grade.
