Biology major with sub-par GPA Post-Grad Options

Hi! Just seeking a little advice from anyone who has gone through the grad school admission process.
I would really like to do a master’s program in either biology or genetic counseling but I am worried about my GPA. I know it is a holistic application and I did do research with the addition of completing a fairly competitive research fellowship with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Along with that I was also president of an honorary on campus, and involved in many other things. The GPA minimum for most grad schools is a 3.0, but often does not specify what the average acceptance is. Is it worth applying for a master’s program barely meeting the requirements?

The faculty in your own department should be able to advise you on this. They know you and will be able to tell you where other students with profiles like yours have been admitted to grad school and where they have found work.
