Hi!
I am taking AP Biology next year and this December I am taking SAT Subject Tests. I am wondering if Physics SAT looks better than Biology SAT. What do you think? I think I can get an 800 in both, so…
It depends on what major you’re aiming towards as well as what subject you’re stronger and have more experience in.
Also, please be aware that AP Bio does test/require as much in-depth material that the SAT II does. Nevertheless, it will help, but will require you to know a LOT more Biology (ex:plants aren’t stressed as much on the AP exam but are on the SAT II)
I am majoring in Economics. The curve is more for giving in Physics, right?
Usually recommended for economics is a math and with math 2 being the better choice. The second can be almost anything. If you take math 2 and physics, your two tests will meet the requirements of all colleges that require SAT subject tests for any major. For Biology it depends. For example, for engineering Carnegie Mellon requires a math and either Physics or Chemistry, and thus biology will not meet the requirement. Also, Biology E may not meet a requirement when Biology M does (such as at Caltech).
