Biology program

How good whould you say Bucknells biology program is? I need to stay In the PA/DE area because my therapist and psycologist are here. being a really shy person, finding a new therapist and what not isn’t really an option. I want to major In either Biology or Zoology but I am having trouble finding a good small college with a strong biology or zoology program in this area. I would be very apreaciative fro any information.
Thank you very much. ^.^

BU does not have a zoology major, but does have a well respected animal behavior major.

Also, you can probably find out (ask the school if it is not readily published) BU graduates acceptance rate into medical school. This would give an indication of its biology major.

I’m a recent grad so there is some bias in my thoughts…I had a great four years at Bucknell and I have to say the Biology courses I took and the professors that taught the courses were super! You will have opportunities to perform research on campus and you will find that the level of instruction that you will receive will be excellent. If you take a look in a few months at where the Class of 2011 graduates have been placed you will probably discover the reason why Bucknell can brag a bit on the placement of their Bio grads after graduation. Some of my friends have received very nice scholarships to attend Ivy League graduate schools and some great public stat universities, and the placement into med schools by Bucknell continues to be a reason why Pre Health candidates and Bio majors do so well in acceptances. You are taught by professors who care about the students and are excellent at teaching–you are NOT taught by TAs! Bucknell’s Biology has a great reputation–and you will discover if you attend–that you will get a great education–at a beautiful school.
