What is the best biology textbook in terms of eloquence and ease to comprehend to new time bio students?

Cambell’s Biology is the standard for AP Bio, and for good reason. [Campbell Biology (9th Edition): Jane B. Reece, Lisa A. Urry, Michael L. Cain, Steven A. Wasserman, Peter V. Minorsky, Robert B. Jackson: 9780321558237: Amazon.com: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Campbell-Biology-Edition-Jane-Reece/dp/0321558235/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373422399&sr=8-1&keywords=campbell+biology)

A used version might be cheaper

I had Campbell’s it was way too in depth for the AP bio exam just use cliffnotes simple to comprehend

Campbell Biology is probably not the best book for beginners. I don’t really know any good beginner books though. The “Dummies” or “Complete Idiots” series have good intro books but I haven’t personally read their biology books.

Thanks guys :)
