Biomedical engineering track debate [high school 12th grade course track, international student]

Gs or Ls?
I’m currently a student in Lebanon, and I’m facing a dilemma regarding my choice of high school track: General Sciences (Gs) or Life Sciences (Ls). I’m passionate about pursuing a career in biomedical engineering abroad after completing my 12th-grade year. Currently, I’m nearing the end of my 11th-grade year, and I find myself torn between the two tracks.
To provide context, my academic performance is strong across all subjects, and I particularly enjoy the four scientific disciplines. However, I’m uncertain about the implications of choosing one track over the other. If I opt for Gs, will universities and colleges abroad still require my biology grades? This uncertainty stems from the fact that biomedical engineering is closely linked to biology, and I want to ensure that my academic background aligns with the requirements of prospective institutions.
Moreover, I’m unsure which of the two tracks—Gs or Ls—better aligns with the curriculum of biomedical engineering. While I’ve received recommendations to pursue Gs due to its emphasis on mathematics and physics, I’m concerned about the potential challenges of self-studying biology at home. Additionally, I fear that universities and colleges may prioritize applicants with high grades in biology, making it crucial for me to excel in this subject.
Also, I would like to ask 6 more question (bare with me please):
Are there any alumni or current students in biomedical engineering programs who can share their experiences with choosing between Gs and Ls tracks in high school?
How do universities and colleges abroad typically view applicants from Lebanon, particularly in terms of their high school track and subject choices?
Are there any specific scholarships or financial aid opportunities available for students pursuing biomedical engineering abroad, and how can I increase my chances of securing them?
What resources or support systems are available for students who choose to self-study biology while enrolled in the Gs track?
Can anyone provide guidance on effective study techniques or resources for mastering biology outside of the traditional classroom setting?
Are there any extracurricular activities or initiatives I should consider participating in to strengthen my college applications and scholarship prospects?
It’s important to note that my goal extends beyond mere acceptance into a foreign university or college; I aspire to secure scholarships to support my academic journey.
In light of these considerations, I seek advice from the community on the most suitable track for my ambitions in biomedical engineering and how best to navigate the challenges associated with my choice.
