Biomedical Engineering

Hi I want to know how good is the biomedical program at UCI is. Also how good is it in comparision to UCSD's program.

Sorry for the Double Thread:(
Just realized

I’d say UCSD is much better than UCI in terms of medical bioengineering research opportunities. I mean there are tons of institutions established there from the biotechnological industry. There are also alot of chances to do internships at UCSD.

UCI is pretty good too in terms of research but it doesn’t have as much of those connections as UCSD.

Hmm thats what i thought do you know any other UC schools close to UCSD biomedical program prestige other than la or berkley those arw out of my reach lol

How good is UCI’s biomedical engineering program without comparison to UCSD?

Yea I would like to know that to

It looks like the BioE programs at both schools are ABET accredited (other than the Pre-Med/BioE major - whatever that is supposed to be, lol). So yeah… I’d take SD over UCI for BioE because that’s what SD is known for. UCI has a good (read: well respected) engineering program with lots of job opportunities in the surrounding area, though!
