Biomedical Informatics..

I have found relatively few colleges with UG major for biomedical informatics. Seems very interesting area. Do any of you have some recommendations on potential schools.

Thanks…

It’s a pretty new field and for that reason I’d caution against a major in it. It’s also rather specialised for an undergrad. You’d be better off doing something biological/health/math related and then going to grad school. That gives you far more options.

FYI my best friend did her undergrad in Psychology. She then did a masters in Human Computer Interaction (found that too fluffy). She then decided she wanted to go back to numbers so she did a Statistics masters for people who majored in something else. She’s now a biostatistician for a university research unit and is very, very happy.

Highland_poppy - thanks a lot for this piece of advice. Makes a lot of sense.

Baylor. My son has a friend there and like the school and the program.
