Biotechnology

Dear all,
I am writing my Cornell University’s supplement essay, and I realized that my intended major, biotechnology, is in College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and College of Engineering. Does anyone know which supplement essay to write? Do I write both or choose one to write. If so, which one should i write?

You should probably call admissions for a question like that, but based on my knowledge it would be whichever one best suits you. The colleges, not the University, accepts students. You’re applying to a certain college and they will decide if they want you, so it’s important to make sure you’re a good fit for that college, or they won’t accept you.
So ask yourself, what are you trying to do with your biotechnology degree and which college does it have more to do with?
Are you more interested in Agriculture/Life Sciences or Engineering?
And probably most importantly, does your application have things that have to do with Engineering or Agriculture/Life Sciences?
That one is most important because you can always transfer colleges inside the University once you get in. Your main focus is getting in regardless of what you interested in because, like I said, you can transfer colleges later. You need to think of which college will be most impressed by your application.
Hope that helps! and Good Luck! :)

Thank you. That was an eye opening answer! I will start to think which one is more suitable for me.
