Black Friday 2019 Search for Sales on specific items

@3scoutsmom -It looks like the Macy’s sale prices are similar to the current WS sale prices and Macy’s has 10% Rakuten cash back now.

I would like to get a Fitbit versa.

Sony Alpha a6000 camera was on the black Friday early access sale at Best Buy for $599 and includes an extra lens. H looked at B&H Camera and for $598 we got the 2nd lens, a memory card, an extra battery and a camera case. So D2’s big present is done!

Thanks everyone! Wow I wish lived near the outlet in CT but it’s too far of a drive from TX;-) I will call on Monday to see about their prices and if they ship.

Most places have the same prices and all the general store coupons have an exclusion on Wuthof:-( Sur La Table does have a set with two knives that were on the list that is cheaper than buying them individually and I haven’t seen this set anywhere esle so I’ll order that from them. Williams Sonona has a spend $250+ on Wusthof get a $25 gift card so I’ll do that and unless something pops up on BF I’ll get the others from Amazon Smile, I have Prime and their CC so 5% back in points.

I haven’t tried Rakuten yet so I’ll look into that too.

Of course the list is mostly the more “unique” ones like the tomato knife and deli knife not your basic chef kinives or bread knife so I think I’m less likely to find a deal on those.

Sur La Table has a very busy brick and mortar store not far from me. In addition to their stuff, they also have classes you can take which always seem to fill up.

@deb922 that factory store is really something. My DD registered for their knives, and if she hadn’t gotten them, I would have gone back to that factory store where the prices were very favorable…and the selection huge.

@3scoutsmom

They carry Wuthof at Bed Bath and Beyond…but maybe not the specific kind you are looking for. That’s where my DDs came from…and I’m pretty sure they used a 20% off coupon!

Thanks @thumper1 I think BBB had at least on of the knives but I tried their coupon on line and it didn’t work for me.

Decided last minute we want to buy an electric blanket for our king size bed. Need separate controls or also willing to buy two twin blankets.

Any suggestions on best blanket, or great desks out there?

I was silly enough to line up for 45 minutes and have the hordes of cheaters rush in past me when the doors opened at the Great Mall tonight (Thanksgiving evening). It irks me to no end that we all line up in a queue, but there there is no security and as soon as the doors open, people rush in like the last refugees escaping a war-torn country, yet it then funnels back into a single line. Stupidest security I’ve ever seen.

30% off everything at Nike and 25% off everything at Dick’s. Didn’t bother with any other place. My only thrill in this was being able to spend time with my kid who’s enduring a very high workload and tense semester at Berkeley.

“This year, only 36% of people said they planned to do most of their holiday shopping on Black Friday — down from 51% just three years ago, according to a survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers.”

I do 98% of my shopping online. Going out to stores on Thanksgiving evening or on Black Friday sounds like on of Dante’s circles of hell.

I just told my kids - “I am about as likely to go out shopping on Black Friday as I am about to go out shopping in the middle of a tornado.”

I also agree that a majority of my shopping will be done online except for a couple of local shops where we get local merchandise and gift cards.

But I am still curious to hear any good deals anyone found.

DH’s Apple Watch 3 conveniently stopped charging yesterday. So we ordered him a 5 today on amazon (348.99 plus tax) and 5% back for using Discovercard . I think that was the price. If I am wrong I will repost.

Not a big deal but I just got xmas light bulbs. It is the old fashioned kind. The only store I know to carry replacement bulbs closed the door last year.

It timed out. Correct price $384.99 plus tax

I’m searching for ladies travel pants with useful and functional pockets. I am somewhat nervous about buying pants online but going to a store is unattractive.

I am hesitating to buy or not to buy a new MacBook taking advantage of Black Friday deal. The current one is from 2017 and still running well except the battery runs down fast. If I trade in now, I can get $300 in trade in. If it stops working next year, I won’t get any trade in value.

My washer and dryer were on duct tape life support. Ordered new ones from Home Depot Black Friday (for a month sales) and they were 35% off. Free delivery and installation and $25 haulaway each. Delivery next week. Where we live the Home Depot is the new Sears for appliances. (Had already ordered a new dishwasher and a Minisplit AC from them this past year.)

@HImom , I paid full price for these this summer, but they are on sale now. There was less room for things in the pockets at the end of the vacation, though that’s not the fault of the pants ?
Their stores are closed today so that we can all go n a hike instead, but it’s pouring rain at my house…

What is your thought - are Cyber Monday sales really going to be any different online than Black Friday specials? Couldn’t they just agree to have it be called “Black Extended Weekend” sales??? - and not have us wondering when to order?!!

Our washer died and the dryer is acting up, so on the hunt for a new set.
H went to Home Depot, Lowes, and the local appliance store. The local will match the HD price and they do free delivery and pickup of the old stuff. Guess where we’re spending the $$?

The big problem is we’re heading out of the country on Tuesday and no delivery possible til Thursday :slightly_frowning_face:
Off to find the laundromat.
