Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deals 2017

@oregon101, Target has Roomba @ $199.99, which is a very good price. Not sure if it’s the “killer” deal you are wanting, but it’s much less than we have paid for similar machines.

Just bought a jacket for D at 30% off and you get a $30 e-coupon on 12/1 to use in that month, online or in store.
https://www.columbia.com/

D will be doing a VERY COLD film in January and doesn’t really have good clothing for such a venue. This jacket and all the clothing she’s getting from us for Christmas should help. Brother said it was fine to mail him the jacket and he will bring it down when he comes in for Christmas. Mailing to him instead of HI saves the postage.

Beware the gift code for print books at Amazon. They have to be sold by Amazon. I was bummed - the books i had on D’s list were sold by a third party, so the discount didn’t apply.
Also, iphones - not newest gen - are cheap cheap cheap at Target and Best Buy and Hellmart, oops sorry Walmart. $99 for the SE, which is a great phone with a too-small screen. $129 for the 6, which is also a great phone. Both are tied to the America Movil network of carriers - Tracfone, Straight Talk, etc. - prepaid, and not great if you want to stream video constantly. Great if you’re a cheapskate like me.

Argh I’m frustrated. I can’t find ANYTHING about Small Business Saturday in the relatively large town that I’m in. I need to be purposeful in where I walk because I’ve managed to injure myself this week on top of already having mobility problems.

Nothing in the local paper and all the websites where it’s mentioned are from 2015 and 2016 :-/

Best Buy has Mac’s on sale for $150-$250 off.

I picked up some nice Christmas china from Macys.com for more than 50% off. I had looked at macys.com for Christmas china a couple of days ago and the pattern I bought today wasn’t there yet.

Isn’t the HP Stream going tomorrow for 199 at Staples? Any feedback on this one?

S says that AmEx isn’t doing any promotion for Small Business Saturday this year, though it has in prior years.

when you are purchasing online, check out ebates.com for money back. It can be from 2-10%.

" $99 for the SE, which is a great phone with a too-small screen. "

Some men like my son prefer the size because they fit in the front pocket of their narrow pants better.

I bought some lovely “advent calendars” from L’Occitane on sale for $52 and a sample of their hand creams for $24. Spent enough to get another free gift. One for me, one for a friend!

^ Just saw one of those advent calendars tonight! It’s beautiful and smells terrific, even though it hasn’t been opened yet.

H bought me an SE last spring because I specifically wanted a smaller phone that I can put in a pocket when running or walking. I love it.

My husband bought an SE this spring because he liked the small size. Like others mention here, he likes how it fits in his pocket.

Yeah, some of the phones these days are more like ipads than phones in size.

Decided saving today tops getting a new laptop just yet. Though the Instapot savings could lure me.

http://www.powells.com/ Powell’s Books is 25% off everything and free shipping over $50, I may gorge on used books.

Am looking for 7.25 quart Le Creuset Dutch Oven but want to choose it in person. We have a terrific indie kitchen store in town, and I’m getting it there whether it’s marked down or not.

Oh! We need a freezer! Off to hunt for one, would welcome suggestions. For the basement, upright as opposed to chest.

Just got back. Really only got things from old navy and bath and body works.

The bigger issue was my wheelchair. Most of the stores just were flat out not accessible. Went to the bathroom and the cleaning lady looked at me and pulled her cart into the doorway, blocking me.

Then we went to go leave and a woman was waiting in the handicapped door with her kid and cart waiting for her partner to go get the car. She and my mom got snippy with each other because it was the last straw for my mom. The other lady started off with “well OBVIOUSLY we have a lot going on here.” Ok ma’am but I only have one door out and you’re standing in it.

Unreal. Hugs, romani.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I’m used to it. My mom isn’t though so I just feel bad that she was upset.

On a happier note, I got this for my nephew and currently my father and the European men are greatly amused by it: https://www.target.com/p/fisher-price-beatbo-dlx/-/A-52128831#lnk=sametab

That stinks, Romani. I was amazed, when I was on crutches and a knee scooter, the number of people who sprinted into the handicapped bathroom stalls when there were others open, or who pulled up their cars and blocked the ramp on the sidewalk.
Bummer. I missed the Google mini deal that had it on sale for $29 but you got a $25 gift card from Wal Mart (well maybe thats not such a loss) but I was able to get it for $29 with a $10 gift card back from Best Buy. Also DS#2 scored on a great Amazon deal- he is unimpressed with the small single cup keurig pot he recently bought and scored on the Keurig K55, normally $100 for $43.63 which was accompanied by 40 assorted k cups for $16.36 so the deal was $59.99.
