Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, etc. 2025 edition

What are people hoping to get bargains on during the sale period around Thanksgiving?

I’m hoping for a sale on a fancy espresso machine (I’ve been told by company that their Black Friday deals will start Nov. 17th)

I’m hoping for some travel deals. I waited a few days too long to take advantage of of a 5% off if I book and pay early for a cycling trip (with all the “junk e-mail” I get, I’m not sure why they didn’t send announcements). I’m also hoping an expensive hotel we want to go to next year may have a sale, but I think it’s unlikely. I just have to prep my husband to be pretty to commit.

If See’s candy has a special, I’ll order then for my son. It’s one of his favorite Christmas presents.

I’m hoping Tastes of Chicago (Lou Malnati pizza) and Garrett’s popcorn have specials.

There’s a bunch of stuff on my Amazon wish list - hope some of them become deals. I’ve been tracking prices so will know if they are really a bargain.

I hope Hex Clad has some good BF deals, there was also a heat press that was on sale during the Amazon Prime Day sale that I hope comes back at a lower price.

I’m also looking for deals on 3-D printers and laser cutters but I have no clue what brands to look at or what a good deal might be!

I want a new Aran sweater. And one for D and one for H, too. Maybe. If they’ve been good

Lenovo Carbon X1 Gen 12 laptop is like $1179 but if you open a business account you get another $100 off.

Not an expert on 3D printers, but saw that there was one recommended by Wirecutter in the link posted above. Here it is:

Just putting in a plug for SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY!

Your local small businesses are out here donating to local schools, setting up collection bins for the local food bank (at least my indie bookstore is), and providing customer service to their neighbors.

Your local indie bookstore owner will never be a billionaire, never be a millionaire. We are hoping to be thousandaires I guess  But we love contributing to the local economy and community.

I changed the title to include Small Business Saturday, and agree completely with the importance of that day.

iPad. Doesn’t have to be latest version. But my old one has run out of space and there are no more apps I want to delete.

Small Business Saturday (and anyday) is one of my fav shopping days of the year.

I’m keeping an eye out for a good sale on an Apple Watch- for me  - mine is 5 years old and acting up here and there .

I’m looking for a new Keurig for my 85 year old mom. She has one of the originals that is very large. She makes one mug of coffee a day so can manage with a smaller one.

Am I the only one who will be shopping local!

Thanks!

With renewed vigor, I’m trying to keep all our Holiday shopping local…and have told offspring to please keep in mind when they send Mrs. Claus their lists (and bonus points if request is an activity vs. thing). Our local merchants are struggling and they employ a lot of our struggling community, so want to do my part and support.

@BunsenBurner can’t thank you enough! I started looking into this machine and found they are sold at a 3-D printer store not far from me. I had no idea the had entire stores just for 3-D printers!!
