Thanks for the advice on Instant Pot. I think I’ll jump on a good deal on Black Friday rather than wait to see what Amazon does on Cyber Monday. Hopefully enough people have one already that they don’t sell out quickly.
I’ll be busy on Friday cleaning again and preparing more food for the crowd coming Saturday morning to watch the big U-M vs. Ohio State game which starts at 9AM here.

Wyze low cost security cameras so that my D’s can watch their cats from their phones!
Thank you @ECmotherx2, zeebamom
I think almost every big name store has X box one on sale for about the same price. The differences are what they are bundled with. The sales are going on now for those.
For simply changing out a faucet, yea there’s no reason to hire a plumber. Either DIY or hire a trusty handyman. If there was an issue with something leaky or cloggy or having to re-route or add pipes, then I might call a plumber.
Dual dash cam for hubby, suitcase for DD and monitor for DS, that’s about it!
Also looking for a new or newish vehicle–either now or in the relatively near future.
I just left Costco. The Arlo Pro (3 camera) system with an extra battery and outdoor mount is $170 off, or $299. According to the flyer, it’s not supposed to go on sale until November 23rd, but it’s already on sale in the store and online through tomorrow. https://www.costco.com/Arlo-Pro-Smart-Home-HD-Wireless-IP-Security-Camera-3-pack.product.100340335.html
They were out of the Ring2 video doorbell so I just ordered it online.
Whoever was looking for tires:
I’m looking to get from Costco either a Samsung 65" Class 4K UHD QLED LCD TV for the Black Friday pre-sale price of $1,299.99 or LG 55" Class 4K Ultra HD OLED TV for $1649.99. Both come with 2 year warranty, and if I use my Costco Citi Visa card to purchase one, an additional 2 year warranty is thrown on top for the total of 4 years of warranty. I need to decide by tomorrow since Costco is closed on Thursday and I don’t want to go anywhere near the store on Friday. In fact, I don’t plan on going out at all from Friday through Sunday. I AM having a hard time deciding between the QLED and OLED, though.
We are disappointed with our top of the line, one year old LG’s built in apps and had to buy a Roku to handle Sling and other subscriptions. Just saying… Check reviews specifically for the apps you want to use.
@TiggerDad Were you able to see them in person, and was there any perceptible difference in picture quality? I would probably go with the larger 65" Samsung because I like a larger screen AND saving money!
Yes, I was at Costco today. The picture quality is hard to judge just from their displays, and my Comcast cable isn’t ready to take a full advantage of 4K, either. I don’t expect either of them to do much better than my current Sony 1080p HDTV due to Comcast, so I’m thinking more “future proofing” with the purchase. From various reviews I read, LG seems to have better color, contrast, audio and programmings. My old Sony will be going down to my basement to be used for my Karaoke system.
I do agree that OLED is probably the better technology. We bought a new TV for our gameroom a few months ago, and it’s a tough call.
I don’t shop on Black Friday, just because…I read this article today about other things to do that was kinda fun —

Never shop Black Friday but saw a great internet meme that summarizes my attitude…
I wish ‘Big National Store’ would install a BF viewing balcony that serves martini’s. Now, I’d be up for that.
@TiggerDad FWIW I lined up at Costco last year for Black Friday (East Bay loc), got there at 9am and when the store opened at 9:30am, it only took me about 3-4 min to get in as people filed in. Some people though cheated and started coming in from all directions as the doors were opening - I wished I could have made a citizen’s arrest on some of these people. It was a long line but nothing like the crowds you would see at Walmart or Target. They need to make everyone go in one by one on Black Friday, at least until the line dissipated.

Our Nordstrom has a bar centrally located on the women’s clothing floor. The dudes get parked there.
But no BF frenzies there to view.
