Not much for Black Friday but we’ll go out for Small Business Saturday.
My nephew is 2 this year and finally understands presents. My other niblings are still infants so I’ll get them a few things but I’m so excited to go shopping for my nephew.

“I wish ‘Big National Store’ would install a BF viewing balcony that serves martini’s. Now, I’d be up for that.”
Only if it comes with easy in/easy out VIP parking as well.
We are going to see the show Anastasia at the Kennedy Center on BF. (surprise gift from dd) I feel the BF experience we had growing up is quite different then what we see today with sales before and after and the ability to shop online where you can have your own martini and shop.
The thought of physically going to a store any day chills my soul. Black Friday, dear God no! I’ll be sat at home by the fire reading the Beastie Boys book. Be safe out there.
I’m looking for the Roomba, Dyson or Shark cordless, a 40-42" Smart (Roku?) television, LG w/d, OTR microwave that is less than 16.5"H.
Just FYI but Vera Bradley has a 30% including sale items today, lots of nice wristlets and bags.
The 6 quart Instant Pot (7 in 1) is $69.99 at Macys. Ebates is also giving 10% cashback for all Macys purchases today.
Amazon has a cordless Dyson on sale for Black Friday now.
I might look for an AeroGarden if we keep having all these lettce recalls.
AeroGardens are a lot of fun! Had one for years. Ours was fairly large but considering getting a smaller one.
My son’s PS4 broke recently. Luckily, yesterday I realized Best Buy is letting you order their Black Friday deal online for in store pick up only. Hubby is picking it up tonight on his way home from work - the Spider Man bundle (D asked for the Spider Man game- bonus!!) for the Black Friday price of $199 with no crowds!
Does anyone know if Apple ever does Christmas deals? Hubby is a teacher so I think we get maybe $100 off but wondering if there’s anything else to look for. D21 asked for Mac instead of a Sweet 16 party…since her birthday is January we’re going to try to add a little surprise and have it under them tree!
Got the Instant Pot at Macy’s. Didn’t want to chance not getting it by waiting to see what other stores and Amazon. I might’ve gotten a $10 gift card from Target tomorrow, but who knows how quickly it’d sell out & I’ve got alot of other things to do tomorrow for Thanksgiving dinner.
In the past, Apple had a Black Friday promotion where they gave you a $50 iTunes card if you purchased an iPhone online.
@NEPatsGirl - rumor has it the Roomas are lll being used to vacuum/rake the forests to prevent future forest fires B-)
May be looking to purchase any or all of the following: Wacom Cintiq Pro, Nintendo Switch, and iPhone XR. This will depend on the kids’ ability to make decisions quickly, and what I can do from the comfort of a couch (and probably a lousy internet connection at my in-laws). I suppose I could try to end up at a GameStop in the afternoon, but not likely (my sanity might be worth more than the $50 store gift card).
Note that the $50 iTunes gift card referenced above when purchasing an iPhone is a lot less than you could get elsewhere. And personally I’d go with the LG OLED TV - I’ve had mine for two years now and LOVE it. You won’t realize how black blacks are supposed to be until you see them on these sets.
@RandyErika - “And personally I’d go with the LG OLED TV - I’ve had mine for two years now and LOVE it.”
So, I gather your LG hasn’t had that dreaded “burn in” issues in two years?
We ordered the LG OLED 65" from the Costco sale. It’s being delivered today. It’s the exact same price if you order it online at Costco.com and they deliver it FREE to your door. So once you make your decision unless it’s a TV viewing emergency, just order it on Costco.com and it will arrive at your door a few days later. Easy.
One reason why I’m buying a TV from Costco is that I can get 7 years of warranty for free: 2 year base warranty + 2 year additional warranty if you use Costco Citi Visa to purchase it + 3 additional year warranty if you purchase their SquareTrade Warranty for $99.99 but get $100 off if you purchase this with a TV. Don’t know anything about the quality of their warranty services, though. Also like their 90-day return policy, of course.
Yes, of course. I’m saying to buy it from Costco. Just don’t do it in the Costco store, because if you buy it in the Costco physical store you have to haul that monster home yourself or pay someone to do it. Instead, order it on the Costco website because for the same price, same goodies, same extended warranty, same Costco Visa discount, they’ll deliver that whopper TV to your door free of charge. Same price, same TV, much less lifting and hauling.
@TiggerDad Not a trace of burn in that I’m aware of. And I do regularly leave it tuned to the NFL Network or CNN for long stretches (knock on wood).
My nail salon has Black Friday specials—just got an email. I can buy 10 pedicures at 20% off. Gonna do it!
