Black Friday! What are you looking for?

@BunsenBurner

What I just upgraded from was a 46" Sony Bravia. It’s a great, reliable TV. It’s now in my basement to serve as my Karaoke monitor! Enjoy the 75" edition!

@BunsenBurner I really like the picture on Sonys - more natural colors than almost every other brand. If their OLEDs (even though they are LG panels) were more similar in price to LG, we definitely would have considered them because we had a 46” Sony for 10 years.

Any ideas for a little gift for a 12 y.o. boy? Something he can play with right when opened? Like a little puzzle or gadget? He is the youngest at our gathering and I think gets a bit bored. I will definitely get him something of his list -but wanted some little something to go with it
Thanks

Are fidget spinners still around?

It is a thing of the past. :slight_smile:

@veruca Check out UncommonGoods for some ideas https://www.uncommongoods.com/for-him/for-teen-boys-15-and-up/gifts-for-teen-boys?view=all&custom_country=US&s=best_seller%20desc

Our S was fascinated by a puzzle that had cars and cards and a tray. You had to figure out how to carefully move the cars in the frame to get them from one point in the tray to the tray’s exit. It was called “ Rush Hour” and is available from multiple sellers online and in stores.

Rush hour is fun and that company makes several different puzzles. Also check out IQ smart games on amazon. They have all sorts of puzzle type games.

Thinkfun makes Rush Hour. They have quite a number of other similar puzzles also.

If he likes puzzles, the Ravensburger 3-D puzzles that light up were a big hit with my kids. Mine still have the Eiffel Tower (night edition) and Empire State Building. They include color-changing lights that light up the puzzle.

Thanks!

It really depends on the kid. S and I really enjoyed Rush Hour brain teaser puzzle while H and D couldn’t be bothered and had no interest.

Athleta is 20% off all weekend so I sent H an email with links to a few jackets. Hopefully he comes through.

I may get more than one -great suggestions!

I have just purchased another arlo pro for our porch. I’ve waited for this for like 3weeks. For those who are into wifi cams, this might be a good option. I think they still have until cyber monday. We like its 2way audio and the quality is clear. I just hope this time, their batteries have improved. lol
