That was a nice surprise…the Nike outlets was running with everything 40% off for today.
Those of you looking for Instant Pots, check out the Ninja Foodi before buying. I think it does everything the Instant Pot does, but it also has a crisping feature. I got my Instant Pot for my birthday, and I love it, but the crisp feature would have been useful, and I’m sort of wishing I had waited.
We bought DD a laptop and second monitor from Staples online today. It was an excellent deal. She is constantly using my desktop for computer science homework (school-issued iPad is not compatible), and the sharing situation isn’t working out (I do some of my work from home on weekends).
I just ordered a Scanpan set for kiddo and some towels from Bloomies. 25% off certain shopping bags of $400 and more.
@romanigypsyeyes I swear by Farberware.
I got a set for my wedding and, 26 years later, they are still going strong despite everything I do to them. Even when I think I’ve burned something on the bottom of the pan and figure that’s it, a soaking takes care of it. There’s a chance they don’t make them like they used to, but I am still very happy with these.
I am thinking about getting a Roomba because I do not like to vacuum and my vacuum needs to be replaced anyway. I am looking at model 960. Do you guys use it and does it work well?
We have two Roombas which we love and use several times/week. Highly recommend, as we hate the drudgery of vacuuming, plus it doesn’t get dust in the air.
My son needs a new carry-on bag. He prefers a soft-sided bag, but if it’s a good deal, it doesn’t matter. He’d like one that meets the requirements for some of the smaller European airlines (21"). This one may work: https://www.costco.com/Samsonite-Premier-II-Vertical-Mobile-Office-Carry-On.product.100401628.html
Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.
I prefer a four wheeled spinner. You can always tip it and drag it behind you. The spinners you can keep close to your side in crowds and avoid bumping into others. The two wheeled carts also tend to tip and fall.
Check whether the dimensions include the wheels to make sure it is suitable for international travel.
Thanks for the tip, @MaterS. I didn’t really think about the wheels.
I wasn’t looking for it but I see H&R Block 2018 tax software is on sale for $18, which is a very good price. We’ve used this software for years and it will update with changes as applicable so I think I’ll go for it.
RomY, I saw a full set of All-Clad at Bloomies today for $360. That is one option
I thought of the rom a, as I hate to,vacuum, but heard it is very noisy.
AWAY is the luggage my son and friends want. It’s a small company. The luggage has built in chargers.
Our roomba is made by Miele, not iRobot, so my comment is regarding the use of robotic vacuums in general. I was skeptical, but it takes care of cat hair on our living room floors quite well. We let it out before we go to work, so only the cats get to enjoy its sounds.
Well, Mr. went to Costco and came back with the giant TV. I hate TVs. I hate TVs!!! Although this one has a good selling point - the legs are designed to hide any cables in the back. Smart designers.
I ordered a pair of boots from Nordstrom. There is a sale at UKTights, so going to poke around their site.
I didn’t get out early enough for the ps4. S finally gave it as an idea yesterday but I was hosting so couldn’t shop. Hopefully somebody gets it back in stock at a decent price before Christmas.
The 40% off at Nike was so good we went back last night at 12:30am, to a different Outlet mall. Can’t believe the parking lot would have been so chaotic at that time (SF Premium Outlets) but it was. I think between the 2 excursions we spent $600 in clothes and shoes. More than I’ve spent on clothes combined in the last 5 years.
Jockey had a pretty decent sale on men’s underwear, 70% off list. Got some 64GB USB 3.1 memory sticks for $10 each at Fry’s Electronics, plus a year of Norton Security Premium for $15 after rebate. Bought an Epson printer (WF-4730, not a Ecotank) for $99 plus tax + 2-year warranty, total out the door $120, at Best Buy, but I did the smart thing - I ordered it online, then picked it up at the store which bypassed the crazy queue.
So which TV did your Mr. get?
I bought an IPad for my wife for Xmas, on sale on Amazon. 128 GB.
Public service announcement for all dog lovers: dog beds really cheap online at Chewy.com I got one 75% off!
@TiggerDad - he got the 75 inch Sony Bravia. The image is cinema-quality. We are watching Mamma Mia 2 on it. The cords in the legs is a great feature.
LLBean boots are 25% off. All styles and colors. Got myself a new pair since my kids have absconded with my old ones.
