An explosion in the hull of a cruiser during routine maintenance left six workers injured Saturday, one of them critically with life-threatening burns, authorities said.</p>

<p>I’d be willing to bet that someone either didn’t heed the smoking lamp or else was doing hotwork (welding, braising, etc.) without the proper Hotwork Chit.</p>
