which to take? how many? are they anything like the SAT? ANYTHING would be appreciated!

well…i wouldn’t entirely recommend blindly taking SAT II, but…generally Math II and US History are two goods ones to start with…most colleges require/recommend that you take 2-3 SAT IIs. SAT IIs don’t differ too much from the SAT Is. The big difference is the time. You have only 1 hour for the SAT IIs compared to all of eternity for the SAT Is.

check this out:

click on a subject test. for example, this is the link for math2c:<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;
on the left side navbar, there is a link to sample questions, along with a drop-down menu where you can access the pages for other SAT2 tests. the sample questions are very helpful: if you get most of them right, consider taking the SAT2!

SAT2s can be taken at any time. I finished AP Foreign Language my sophomore year, so I took the SAT2 in October. Generally, it is easier to get a 5 on an AP test than to get an 800 on the SAT2. Consider taking the SAT2 at the end of AP courses.

DONT take them without doing some kind of a review. i took them not even knowing the set up or anything and what do you know? i bombed them! now i have to take them again at the end of the summer.

I took the english one blindly because I only signed up for two and didnt know I could’ve taken three in one day. I decided to take it, in the break before the third testing opportunity and got a 670. It could have been better of course but i guess I can just retake.

i can’t seem to find the sample questions for SAT II…

um, lyly, look on the left side nav bar!! there is a link in black text that says “sample questions.” if you can’t find that, you have greater problems…

oh right, duh!
