Block scheduling

My high school has block scheduling, meaning that we take four classes each day, and then for second semester, switch classes. However, most AP classes at my school are “2 credit classes”, meaning that they are full year courses. This means that at my school, I can take a maximum of 4 AP classes. As I surf college confidential, I’m seeing more and more people with 5+ AP courses a year, where as I can only take 4 (and if I do take all four, my school year will be nothing but AP courses, which I don’t want to do). How will this effect my chances?

Thanks.

It won’t. A guidance counselor/school official will need to send the Secondary School Report to your colleges in which the GC will rate the rigor of your schedule and discuss any limitations set by the school/district. As long as your schedule is rated “most demanding,” you’re good to go.Here’s an example. Often, the school will send a school profile which will outline academic requirements and limitations, AP courses offered, college matriculations, GPA by decile, and a ton of other info. @skieurope Thanks for replying. This makes me feel a lot better.
